How OcuTrap fits into your TNR workflow

You keep trapping the way you always have—OcuTrap just lets you check traps from your phone instead of driving all night.

Deploy smart traps in the community

Set OcuTraps at feeding stations, colonies, or known wildlife paths, just like you would with a normal trap.

Monitor remotely with real-time alerts

When there’s activity or a capture, OcuTrap sends photo-based alerts so you can confirm what’s in the trap from your phone.

Respond when it truly matters

Drive out when you know an animal is captured—or remotely release a non-target animal and keep trapping.

Support more animals with the same team

OcuTrap helps you stretch every volunteer hour and every grant dollar further.

Reduce volunteer burnout

Cut down on overnight checks and long drives so your team can focus on the animals that need them most.

Cover more trapping locations

Deploy more traps across your community while still keeping up with monitoring and rapid response.

Better data for grants & reporting

Use timestamps, photos, and trap logs to document your impact for funders, boards, and municipal partners.

We used to send volunteers to check traps every couple of hours. With OcuTrap, we only drive when there’s actually a cat in the trap.

Questions from TNR teams & shelters

Do we need reliable cell service at every trap?

OcuTrap performs best in areas with solid cellular coverage. We’ll help you identify ideal locations and discuss options for more challenging sites.

Can we start small with a pilot?

Yes. Many organizations start with a small batch of traps on one or two colonies and expand as they see the time savings.

Can OcuTrap help with grant proposals?

We can provide program descriptions and basic impact modeling you can adapt for grants, municipal proposals, and fundraising.
